HERTZ HMX 6.5-LD – 16.5 cm 2-way speaker with 150 watts (RMS: 75 watts) – white

The HMX 6.5 LD-TW is a high-performance marine coaxial speaker with an RGB LED lighting option. It’s also available in a black option called HMX 6.5 LD-TC. The speaker’s cover grille is designed in a completely uniform color scheme. The tweeter is optimized for off-axis operation, which maximizes the sound pressure level.

The RGB LED lighting is integrated below the tweeter and is protected by a transparent polypropylene cover that diffuses the light. The UV-resistant polypropylene membrane is equipped with a Santoprene rubber surround, a basket, and a grid with a high-temperature and UV-resistant polymer. This makes it resistant to water, dust, and mud. The aramid centring with silicone-insulated connecting wires ensures durability and consistent performance over time. A solid magnet powers the high-excursion mobile devices to deliver high, undistorted sound pressure.

The speaker comes with integrated RGB LED lighting that can be used with HM RGB 1 BK accessories to enhance your experience. It has been designed and tested to perform well in the application’s real environment, including exposure to UV, salt spray, vibration, splash water, thermal shock, and dust. 

The speaker features a 1.4″ tweeter with a neodymium magnet and PEI dome. The front panel and acoustic lens have been optimized for the best off-axis radiation and highest SPL. Additionally, it has a sound-transparent stainless steel tweeter grille that provides efficient high-frequency transmission, an attractive appearance, and solid protection.

The woofer has a long-throw design with a 25 mm (1″) voice coil, fine-tuned for infinite baffle applications. It comes with a polypropylene cone injected with UV inhibitors and a moulded Santoprene surround. The spider is made of aramid fibre with silicone-insulated lead wires to ensure durability and consistent performance over time.

The speaker has a FEM-optimized, high-bending mobile device powered by a solid magnet assembly encapsulated in a basket with injected marine-grade polymer. It also has a sealed built-in crossover with a resettable solid-state tweeter protection circuit and gold-plated, corrosion-resistant connectors.
